Sometimes ESPN can be so annoying

I know John Wall is good. He is actually very good, and he will most likely be a star in the NBA but ESPN's coverage of college basketball this year has been a joke. Its like Kentucky is the only team playing and John Wall is the only player playing. Today Wall goes 4-11 and scores 12 points. Kansas freshman Xavier Henry goes for 31 on only 15 shots. And all ESPN can talk about is John Wall. Give me a break.

All Saints Day

3 stars
Sequels are rarely as good as the original. And the original Boondock Saints is one of my favorite movies. So this sequel would have to be pretty stellar to be better. The jury is still out on what kind of movie this was. I did not think it was as good as the first, but it did have some pretty good moments. The problem was that it tried to hard to be clever and funny and sometimes just came off as cheesy. Its as almost it was trying to be a spoof of the original. Just weird at times. And I think they could have cast the female FBI Agent better. The whole first scene where you see her pumps and sexy nylons, is set to get you excited about what is on top. My first reaction was disapointment. The actress did a decent job, just thought it could have been better. But I did like the movie and would certainly see it again.

It stops at 4 in a row

I must admit I have been very bad at keeping up with my posts. But I can at least say I have been doing better than Caleb, who has apparently fallen off the blogging map. He has good stuff and I miss that.
Oh well, on to the ra-tard Broncos. They spent a month and half surprising everybody then spent a month coming back to earth. Losing to the Ravens, Steelers, and Chargers shouldn't be to bad of a thing, but they lost badly in each game. Two of which were at home. No excuse for that, and the Redskins game was a totally disappointment. No reason the Broncos should lose that game. Sure Orton went out, but what happened to that amazing defense.
With all that against them, I was sure the would find a way to lose against the Giants. Instead the Broncos played like they did in the first 6 games and looked pretty good. Also helped that the Giants looked terrible. Broncos got back to playing all out D and consistently moving the ball. Kicking 4 field goals wasn't optimal, but a 26-6 win felt pretty good.
I also must admit that I should give Orton more credit. We cannot win without the guy. Chris Simms was beyond terrible and if Orton goes down again, we are done.
Moreno has continued to progress and keeps showing each week why we drafted him so high. If he can keep hold of the football he could really be something special. Greatly annoyed that he doesn't have a 100 yard game yet. But it has been good that he shares carries with Buckhalter.
Marshall has played very well this season. When we can get him the ball he has produced. We need to just get him the ball more.
One of my biggest disappointments on the season has been Eddie Royal. We simply seem unable to get him involved in the offense. Orton and he have struggled connecting most the season. Without his two return tds against the Chargers he has done nothing. Royal needs the football.
As for the Broncos making the playoffs, I am skeptical. The AFC has some very good teams vying for those two wild card spots. It will be hard for the Broncos to nab one of those, but not impossible. The easiest way would be to win the division, but I don't see the Broncos catching the Chargers. Chiefs x2, Raiders, Colts, Eagles are the remaining games. Only one of those will be a home game. If we can somehow take care of our divisional games against the Chiefs and Raiders we should have a good shot. I fully expect loses to the Colts and Eagles. 10-6 wouldn't be bad on a season were I was hoping for 6-10.

BTW, Elvis is leading the league with 14 sacks. Boom!

Good Start

Kansas starts the season in dominating fashion with a 101-65 drubbing of Hofstra. Xavier Henry sets a KU freshman record for points in a debut with 27. Hit five treys and had 3 dunks for his eight field goals. Had a put back dunk that will probably make espn top ten. The kid is sick and Kansas has what it needs know on the wing. Collins put in 23 but probably shot a little much. Aldrich didn't get enough looks and had only 11. Free throw shooting needs work. Besides a 5 minute stretch in the 1st half, KU dominated every aspect. Sweet game, but there is a still a lot of work to be done. Morris twins look much better. The other two freshman Robinson and Johnson both showed some good stuff. This team is stacked and the only thing gonna hold them back will be themselves. Pretty excited about this team. There could be something very special happening in Lawrence this year. I know its only one game, and I am getting ahead of myself. But this team has what it takes to cut down the nets in March.

I know I didn't post anything on the Bronco embarrassment in Baltimore. Not really anything to say. The Broncos really sucked. Enough said.

Ready or not, here it comes

With how the Broncos have been playing the NBA season has snuck up on me. Hard to believe it starts tomorrow night. Not really ready for it, we are not even half way through the NFL season. But this is how it is every year, just wasn't ready for the Broncos to be relevant. This is also the first year in many I am not that excited about the Mavericks. They are middle of the pack yet again. Everyone is a year older and a step slower. Dirk is 31 and beginning the down side of his career. Kidd is old enough to be my dad and Josh Howard is hurt yet again. I guess when it comes to my teams I can be a little pessimistic. Broncos have so far proved me wrong and the Mavs could too. Just don't think they do anything different than they have the last ten years. 50 or so wins and a 1st or 2nd round exit in the playoffs. The addition of Shawn Marion could be a much needed boost. We will see how that plays out. I think it was a bad idea to let Brandon Bass. The guy is a beast and a decent shooter. Other than that we replaced an average bench with another average bench. Drew Gooden has not been good since leaving Kansas for the NBA. But our rookie Rodrique Beaubios could be a decent player in a few years. My interest in the Mavs might be whaning a little, but once it gets further into the season I will be pulling for Dirk like I always do. I also think this might be the last year they have any shot to make the finals. I strongly don't think they but time is running out on this team.
I am band wagon fan at times. I enjoy watching certain teams do well. I really enjoyed watching the Celtics win it all two years ago. When the Clippers made the playoffs a few years back I loved it. For Caleb's sanity I would like to see the Timberwolves do something useful in their exsistence. My interest for the Mavs really only goes as far as Dirk. So I think it would be alright if I pulled for my childhood team this year. I might have jumped the wagon to cheer for Dirk and the Mavs but I think I can ride two wagons at the same time. I am speaking of the Portland Trail Blazers who I hope will push themselves to the upper echelon this year. They have the tools to be a special team. Brandon Roy is awesome. LaMarcus Aldrigde is pretty darn good. Greg Oden could be a force is he could learn to keep his hands to himself. Andre Miller is an improvement over Steve Blake and should average double digits assists this year. Rudy Fernandez is a great spark plug off the bench. Travis Outlaw is a complement player and has the highest elevation of his jump shot of anyone in the NBA. That has to count for something. I just think they can finish in the top three in the west. I'm hoping at least. So here's to the Mavs and Blazers, hope you guys tear it up. And yes I can be a fan for two teams.

I think I am out of words

If someone had told me the Broncos would be 6-0 and the Titans 0-6 I would have slapped them in the face for being stupid. I'm just having a hard time getting my mind around this. I was so convinced they would be terrible. Even through all this winning I have been very skeptical and so have the analysts. But now the analysts are jumping on the band wagon and its making me even more nervous. We have been picked to lose every game, what happens when we are finally picked to win?
Last week may have been a feel good win for Josh McDaniels but last night was the feel good for Bronco nation, players included. There is some really bad blood between these two teams which made last night all that sweeter. Broncos barely got on the field for warm-ups before San Diego started talking smack, led by Shaun Phillips and Phillip Rivers. River was sacked 5 times and fumbled 3. Shaun Phillips did nothing except get de-cleated by Brandon Marshall on a sick crack back block. Keep talking San Diego.
Even with all this going on I really thought we would lose last night. In my weekly discussions with my boy, all-knowning football genius Caleb, we thought San Diego had most everything going in their favor. Must win situation, coming off a bye week, almost unstoppable passing game, and pissed off LaDainian Tomlinson. It seemed the Broncos were doomed, and the first quarter supported this. Rivers set a team record with 139 yards passing in the 1st. Denver didn't look like they could cover much of anything, and they were getting no pressure on Philips. Second quarter showed a little improvement. But we still gave up points. Our offense was struggling and the only reason we are in it, is because Eddie Royal went off. But what a turn around at halftime. McDaniels and Mike Nolan have been the masters of second half adjustments. In 6 games the Broncos have only given up 10 second half points. Still trying to digest that tidbit. Long story short, the Broncos are feeling teams then buckling down and bringing the heat. Last night was truly sastifying.
Kyle Orton has quietly been absolutely balling. Once again he did want he needed to win and did not turn the ball over. Sure Cutler would make more amazing plays and deep throws, but Cutler would consistently turn the ball over. As he continues to do in Chicago. Orton plays safe, and makes his throws. Couldn't hook up with Royal, but what an amazing throw to Sheffler. Perfect.

Yes- to 6-0. How can you argue with that?

No- to a bad defensive first quarter. Look like it would be a long night.

Yes- to Eddie Royal keeping us in the game with two huge returns for touchdowns. Its about time Eddie.

No- to giving up 20 first half points.

Yes- to second half adjustments. Truly amazing what the Broncos coaching staff has done to make changes between halfs. Broncos were outplayed in the first half and were saved by Royal. They completely outplayed the Chargers in the second half. It wasn't even close. Rivers was pressured the whole half and just couldn't get comfortable.

No- for Tony Kornhieser saying that Kyle Orton is the MVP after the first six games. C'mon man. Can't believe he has a TV show and Caleb and I don't. Somethings just aren't fair.

Yes- to Tony Sheffler joining the party this season. Keep bringing it.

No- To Jim Rome saying he would rather lose and look good then wear the Broncos retro's and win. What a dumbf*&@.

Yes- to Kyle Orton. Boy, you have done what you needed to. Don't think I can be hating anymore. Doesn't mean I have to like you though. Great play buddy.

No- No catches for Royal. Exhausted to much on the returns I guess.

Yes- to the fact that we won with a very medicore first half. We struggled running the ball, but kept churning them out. The passing game was not overwhelming, but came through when needed. Another week and the Broncos do just enough to win. They have a swagger that is fun to watch and the unity is overflowing. But again, lets see how they do when they lose one.

No- to all the crap about the Broncos retro uniforms. They were not that bad and they won. Let it go.

Yes- to a 3 1/2 game lead over the team that was suppose to run away with the AFC West. It was so easy analysts were laughing about it. The Broncos are a surprise, but don't ever by shocked by the Chargers. Norv Turner is horrible, that defense is terrible, and LT just doens't seem to have it anymore. Has much as I hate him Rivers is good, very good. Tighten up the defense, give Rivers more time to throw and this team can still make the playoffs.

So apparently I am not at a lost for words. It was bit long, but I can't remember being so excited about a Bronco win in some time. I could barely get to sleep last night I was so stooked. What a win. And good save on Royal, Caleb. Ironic that excuse you gave for his big play was a catch. He had none. Thanks man. I know it will never happen again, but I hope we can have another Packer/Bronco super bowl in our lifetimes. To bad you'll have to lose to us again.

Top 5

Broncos are top 5 in both offense and defense. Just thought I would share that. I know we won't stay there, but thats a pretty cool stat.

Really?

Late last night I was enjoying the last few hours of my day off. In the middle of this enjoyment came a text message from my favorite assistant that there was a problem in the dorm. One of the students had managed to get some chemicals in his eye. I went to investigate thinking this was only one student being stupid and somehow getting it in their own eye. I can be a bit naive at times and this would be one. Not only did he not do it to himself, but he and another student were spraying each other. Just brilliant. The whole episode ended with one student chasing the other with a large cooler, yes cooler, and trying to hit him with it. Only thing he hit was the window, which broke. The cooler swinging student followed his prey to his room where he pounded on the door, yelling some interesting words. What fun. I guess I just don't follow the thought process that starts with spraying harmful chemicals at each other and ends with a cooler into a window. Really guys?
Luckily water, a wash clothe, and a call to poison control was all that was needed and not a run to the emergency room.

All I Have To Say Is Wow

Its late in the week and I am just posting my response to the game. Reason is that I am still in a little shock to Sunday's events. The Broncos really impressed me with this win. They faced the most adversity yet and still came out on top. According to everyone (me included) they were suppose to finally be exposed as the posers they are. Instead they rallied back from ten points down to pull it off in overtime. They even had to stop the Patriots three times on one drive. Not sure if thats cuz the Broncos defense is so good, or the Patriots can't get on the same page. Probably a combination of both. Regardless of what problems the Pats are having that was a very impressive win by the Broncos. They are 5-0 plain and simple. Don't be hating cuz of who they played. They have played their hearts out and did what they had to to win. Do I believe that they will be exposed at some point this year as only a good team? Yes I do. The Charger game next week will be a good test. We still have the Giants, Colts, Eagles, and Ravens coming. The Broncos will be tested, and then we can really see how good this team is. But until then I am just gonna enjoy the beauty of 5-0 while it lasts.

Yes- to a Bronco team that didn't give up and kept fighting the whole game. Great win, awesome win.

No- to playing very average the first half and giving lots of yards and 17 points to the Pats.

Yes- to shutting the Pats out in the second half and holding Brady to 5-14 in the same half.

No- to Knowshon fumbling yet again. Gotta clean that up buddy.

Yes- to Knowshown having a very good game. 88 yards rushing and 36 yards recieving. This guy is exciting.

No- To Mr. Orton finally turning it over. Although it was a hail mary to end the half. Picked off by Randy Moss. Very forgivable.

Yes- To Mr. Orton's best game yet. He outplayed the man himself, Tom Brady. Throws were on target and he just looked good. As I said before, never gonna like the guy. But he has a 28-12 record has a starter. The guy wins. Can't hate on that. 330 yards passing. Like it, love it.

No- to giving up over 300 yards of offense to the Pats. We had only one turnover and one sack. But they both came when the Pats were driving to kick the game winning field goal. Better late than never.

Yes- To shutting out the Pats in the second half. We buckled down and played some D.

No- To two consecutive penalties on the special teams that gave the Pats first downs. What the heck. Embarrasing.

Yes- to touchdown drives of 90 yards and 98 yards. Very impressive. Back up all the way up to the 2 yard line in the 4th and driving down to tie it.

No- for 0 sacks for Elvis.

Yes- to Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal. 2 huge touchdowns for Marshall and the first big day of the year for Royal. 10 catches for 90 yards. He several catches that kept drives alive. He and Orton looked like they were in rythym for the first time this year.

No- to Eddie Royal fumbling a punt return. Thank you Peyton Hillis for recovering.

Yes- to Champ Bailey holding Randy Moss to one catch.

No- to Orton taking a sack which cost us a field goal try at the end of regulation.

Yes- to Tom Brady for missing on two possible touchdown throws to Moss and Wes Welker.

No- for the grey hairs I gained watching this game and the freaking stupid tivo running out before the game was over and forcing me to have to check the score online.

Yes- to the Broncos winning the toss and taking care of business.

No- to retarded Bronco fans that think we are great and amazing and going to the Super Bowl or something. This is not '98 and we do not have John Elway. Relax.

Yes- to 5-0

It was a great week. The Patriots are not the same team of a couple of years ago, but it was still a big win. But everything is great when you are winning. I'd like to see how the Broncos respond with a few losses. This team was an apparent mess just a couple of months ago. Things are only gonna get tougher. Hopefully they will continue to play together and step up big. And Bill Belechick, you are more of a classy guy than I thought. Great gesture to go and congratulate McDaniels away from the media. Didn't have to. But your still an ass.

Sometimes Being Wrong Is A Beautiful Thing

My pick for the game: 31-14 loss
Actual Score: 17-10 win
I picked the Denver Broncos to lose this game and it feels very good to be wrong. I really wanted to believe they could do it, but they just aren't that good on offense and their defense hadn't really been tested. I think they passed the test. After giving up over a 100 yards and 10 points in the 1st quarter the Broncos buckled down and went to war. They gave up to many yards but did not surrender another point the next three quarters. Even after giving up a big gain on a broken play late, they rallied together to stop the Cowboys from punching it in. Admittedly Tony Romo really helped the cause with not being able to find any receiver no matter how open. Some were his fault but some were because of constant pressure. If Romo makes some of those throws the Broncos lose. But on the other hand, the Broncos killed themselves with 10 penalties for 81 yards. Several good drives were stopped cause of stupid mistakes. Clean that up and Denver could have put more points on the board. The argument could be made for both teams. Denver also held the number one rushing offense to 74 yards and forced Romo to pass it 42 times. Denver's defense is for real and they out played the Cowboy's most the game. So here we go...

Yes- to a defense that seems for real. They gave up too many yards (315) but after a tough first quarter really shut down the Cowboy's offense.

No- For stopping Marion Barber at the goal line and then allowing him to score anyways.

Yes- to only giving up 74 yards rushing to a team that was averaging over 200.

No- to giving up several big plays on screen passes after I clearly screamed at the television that it was coming. Why does no one listen to me?

Yes- To five sacks and putting pressure on Romo most the day. What a big sack and strip by Renaldo Hill. Elvis with two more sacks. That makes 8 in 4 games. Like it!

No- to an injury to Correll Buckhalter. We need you.

Yes- to the continued maturation of Knowshon Moreno.

No- to the above talented idiot fumbling on the first play from scrimmage in the second half. Still love ya buddy.

Yes- to Champ Bailey bailing him out with a pick that any receiver would be proud to call a catch. Only two CB in the league could make that play. One is a champ and the other plays in Green Bay and goes by the surname Charles.

No- to a questionable call to go for it on fourth down when we could have kicked a field goal. I like the grittiness but in such a close and low scoring game the points seemed more important.

Yes- to Brandon Marshall deciding to act like a professional and work his ass off. Paid off in a big way with a sensational catch and run. Made the entire Cowboy's secondary look silly. Terrence Newman was his b@#*h on the play.

No- to giving up a huge gain to Tony Romo and Sam Hurd on 4th down. Game could have been over.

Yes- the Broncos not overreacting and stopping the Cowboys from tying the game. And thank you for trying to score against Champ Bailey on the last two plays. Your stupidity is our gain.

No- to the fact that both touchdown passes by Kyle Orton probably should have been picked off.

Yes- we are 4 weeks in and Kyle Orton still has no turnovers. I should eat crow for this but I still don't like him. His numbers were pretty good: 20-29, 243 yards, and 2 touchdowns. But he missed several throws and should have been picked off at some point. He is playing well and will I ever get off his back? No, so stop asking.

No- that not enough people showed for sunday morning football. And the fact that I threw a duck to Quicky that intercepted. Embarrassing. I also couldn't complete several easy throws to Caleb.

Yes- that I did get to play football with Caleb and Quicksand. I got a several tds to Caleb and one long one to Quicky. It was fun.

No- to almost throwing up in the theater because of the blood and gore of Zombieland. Yes I know that I didn't have to go, Caleb.

Yes- that after the first 15 minutes that Zombieland was a very good movie. Surpringsly so.

It was a good weekend. So nice to actually get weekends off this year and that Caleb is in Lincoln to hang with. Bronco game was sweet. And the Twins won. As I said, good weekend. Next week the Broncos have the Patriots. This week the experts all picked the Cowboys and next week they will probably pick the Pats. But the Broncos have proved that they should have a chance in this game. Broncos still have alot to work on. They are certainly not a typical 4-0 team. They are not as good as that record. 4 wins doesn't mean alot in this league. As McDaniels said, it doesn't win you a division or make the playoffs. Broncos have a long way to go before we can call them good. They are close though, getting very close.

It could get ugly, but its been fun so far

214 and 5. Maybe those numbers don't seem to impressive to the casual observer. But to me it is sweet music to my ears. 214 happens to be the amount of yards the Broncos are giving up in their first three games. 5 is the amount of points that they are allowing opponents. That qualifies the Broncos for having the number one defense in the National Football League. I am trying not to be overly excited about this when I thought the Broncos would be terrible on defense and suck terribly overall. Yes I know it was against the Bengals, Browns, and Raiders. But before you write me off as a stupid and delusional fan, hear this. The Packers and Steelers couldn't hold the Bengals. The Vikings had a whole half of problems against the Browns. And the Chargers almost lost to the Raiders. Steelers are the defending champions. Vikings and Chargers are suppose to be the Super Bowl match up according to many. So yes, I probably am a little biased. And yes I had a bad Bronco team winning these first three games. So whats the big deal? Its the fact that the Broncos were almost dead last in every defensive category last season. The offense is struggling, but defense can win you games. And with the running game the Broncos have had so far, the Broncos might be better than 6 wins. Then again they might lose every game from here on out just to spite me. There is no way to know, but I do like what I see from the defensive side of the ball this season. They could still finish dead last again, but improvements have been made. And its been fun to watch. Now if we could just find a way to pass the ball to our talented receiving corps. But you can't have everything right?

Entourage: Round 2

Yep, I did it again. I just finished going through the five seasons of Entourage. And it was just as the good the second time if not better. I do not know how I am going to wait for season six to come out on dvd. Best show on television bar none.
Here are my hopes for season six. That the writing and dialogue continue to knock my socks off. That for once Vince actually finishes a good movie. If they screw up the Scorsese movie I will be pissed. That Eric and Sloan make attempt to get back together. That Turtle and Jamie continue to work even though it makes Drama sick. But having them all in relationships could be a little boring. That Drama continues to be an idiot and provide me with lots of laughs. That the Murphy Groups gets more clients. That Ari continues to go off on everything. Some of the best lines I've ever heard. That the show never, ever gets rid of Lloyd. That Dana Gordon bounces back from the Smoke Jumpers disaster and that she continues to be a good part of the show. And that this show never ends. Its so good. Let's hug it out b*#@h!

3 for 3

My pick for the game: 28-17 win
Actual score: 23-3 win

The good news is that I am 3 for 3 on picks so far for the Broncos. The bad news is that if I continue to be right, the Broncos will still suck. But I will take a 3-0 start any day. Let's just hope we can manage to do better than 3-10 the rest of the way. The offense has been alright and can get so much better, and the defense continues to amaze everyone. Passing game was bit lacking today, but we ran the ball like the Broncos of old. Almost had two 100 yard rushers. Pretty good week. And the Packers did pretty well against the Rams. Like it when my boy's are happy. Well on to the breakdown.

Yes- to a Bronco ground game that continues to churn out yards. 215 to be exact. Buckhalter breaks a hundred and Moreno powered, spinned, and juked his way to 91 and a score. The rookie is looking good and Buckhalter is a great back when healthy. Now lets see if we can run the ball against teams that actually have a defense.

No- to not getting Moreno a 100 yards. Lamont Jordan sucks, don't care if he played for the Patriots and knows the system. He still sucks.

Yes- to holding the Raiders to 137 total yards. Easier to do when Jamarcus Russell couldn't hit Gilbert Brown for a pass if he was five yards away and wide open(Brown wouldn't catch it anyways). But we also held them to less than a 100 yards rushing. Great show defense. But with Dallas, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and San Diego looming, they will be tested.

No- to not being able to take it in from the 5 yard line on 4 tries.

Yes- to Elvis still being in the building. 2 more sacks.

No- To kicking field goals instead of scoring touchdowns.

Yes- to Kyle Orton making it through 3 weeks and still no turnovers.

No- to Buckhalter coughing up our first turnover of the season

Yes- to the Broncos causing four turnovers. DJ Williams and Brain Dawkins combo on their force and recovery was sick and nasty.

No- to the explosive Eddie Royal getting one catch. Are you kidding me?

Yes- to getting Brandon Marshall more involved. Even got him a touchdown.

No- to the middle of the field being open all day and not exploiting it more. Every time we had a receiver or tight end there it coverage by a backer. But the running game was working.

Yes- to throwing a screen pass to 260 lbs Daniel Graham. Worked like a charm.

No- to that crappy field the Raiders play on during the baseball season.

Yes- to a great Bronco win

No- to Drew Brees killing me in fantasy

Yes- To the Pack getting a much needed win over the Rams.

No- To Johnny Jolly recovery a fumble and blocking a field goal. All after Rock dropped him. :(

Yes- to picking the Jets, Lions, and Bengals for wins this week. Boom.

No- to just randomly throwing up. Yep, just did, had no clue it was coming. Weird.

All in all it was a pretty good sunday. Didn't really like having to put up with the parade all day, but still got the whole Bronco game in. Would just be nice to actually get to sit and enjoy a sunday in front of my beautiful tv, with my sunday ticket, and new comfy chair. One of these days. And about Pierre Thomas, I am big guy and will admit I'm an idiot. Thank you Caleb. I also just wanted to say the Raiders a terrible franchise. Until they get rid of Al Davis they will suck. Jamarcus Russell is terrible, horrible, and frighteningly bad. Its so sad to see a talent like McFadden wasting away there. They just need to cut the Raiders as a franchise in the NFL and let Cabe and I start a new one. I think that is very reasonable. People from down south can continue to wear there jersey's and cheer for them. They would never know they don't exist anymore anyways. Everybody wins. Maybe even some of the southerners would go back south. Raiders are the only thing holding them here aren't they?

One to Lincoln, One to India

Big huge yes to Caleb moving to Lincoln. I now have something to do with my new weekends off. Exciting!

Big huge no to Ryan going to India and losing his kidney, liver, and limbs to the black market. I really liked the guy. Depressing.

ps. I really hope you have an awesome time Ryan and its everything you'd hoped it would be and more. Just make sure before you leave to give me all your best players in fantasy.

If Your Team Sucks... Play The Browns

My pick for the game: 24-13 win
Actual score: 27-6 win
We scored more and held them to less. I like it.

Maybe, just maybe the Broncos might actually have a defense this year. The Bengals and Browns are not good, but last year it didn't matter. A Pop Warner team coulda scored on the Broncos last year. So the improvement being witnessed is pretty sweet. I still don't believe the Broncos are a good football team and I still stand by my 6 wins prediction. Its just nice to see them win a couple of games. Now would the Bears please lose every game here on out, so we can get a decent draft pick. And thanks for the advice Caleb, but I'll stick with yes/no format. You can keep your plus and minuses. Good post about the Packers btw. Sucks when 16-0 slips through your fingers. Broncos are still on pace though. Enough rambling, on to the quick hits.

Yes- to the Broncos holding the Browns to 200 yards of total offense and just six points.

No- To Peyton Hillis fumbling the opening kickoff.

Yes- To Elvis Dumervil and his four sacks. This 3-4 might work after all and it appears that LB agrees with Elvis.

No- To limited touches for Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal. Why can't we get these guys the ball? And why did Marshall sit out most of the first half?

Yes- To 449 yards of total offense, especially almost 200 in rushing. Moreno looked good and Buckhalter even better.

No- To Kyle Orton completing barely 50% of his passes. 19-37.

Yes- Still no turnovers for Orton. Incredible. He is doing what he needs to do to not lose the game. Would like to see him do more to go out and win it.

No- An offense that put up 449 yards but is still struggling to find its rhythm. I just have this feeling that it can be explosive. Maybe I'm dreaming. Don't know if I can ever be comfortable with Orton.

Yes- To an improving defense.

Yes- The fact that I am running out of NO's is a good sign. Broncos played very well, but again I am very skeptical and will wait to see how the Broncos fair in future weeks. I think we can get a win in Oakland on Sunday, but after that its gonna get pretty dicey. We will see if this defense is really improved or just looking good against bad teams.

Blue 42, Red 11, NZ 17, RCFQ, and then the closet opens

Football, card games, Nazi Zombies, best entourage ever, and getting played like a fool. Sounds like a great weekend to me. And yes, yes it was. Just wanna say that I have great friends and we have awesome times together.
The weekend started off with me being super pissed at my boy Ryan for not coming to our planned weekend. Ya, he and Caleb played me like their best game of madden and got me good. Ryan jumped out of the closet and made me poop my pants right there. With that start how can you not have a good weekend.
Many may find that hours spent playing video games is a waste, but after we transformed Shawna's living with four tv's and four xbox's it was the ultimate man cave. Big shout out to Shawna for letting us make a mess of her apartment. You go girl! Nazi Zombies kept stymieing us after lever 17, but Caleb and I dominated in madden with our sick/nasty created football team. To much fun. In between and during we fit in a season and a half of Entourage. Ryan and I are still working on Caleb to keep watching. It gets so good buddy. But we didn't just vegetate the whole weekend. Thursday saw us mess around on the basketball court out behind the apartment. Friday found us playing football. Saturday we went out for a picnic and then to mini golf in the evening. Man, I just wanna go do this all over again. Best part of the whole weekend was Sunday morning football, where da boy's did their thing. Not saying we dominated or anything, but we represented. Caleb blocked so well, the Packers called to have him replace the entire Packer O-line. If you don't believe me, just watch their game against the Bengals. That was the only downer of the weekend. Ryan overcame an early drop to sign his name in the middle zone of the field. Complete ownage. Quicksand despite being berated by his QB ran around everyone. And I despite being in less than stellar shape, managed to not embarrass myself to much. We had a blast. Just wish I could have thrown five touchdowns to Caleb. Have to keep up his best receiver in the league tab. Guess he is dropping that for best blocker.
If you couldn't tell yet I had an awesome weekend. I hope that was a proper sendoff for Rye Guy. Gonna miss ya man. Please come back to us with all your limbs and body parts.

ps. Quicksand is in our Entourage. To cool not to be. Love that kid.

Basterds

3 stars out 5
I love movies and watch a good amount of them. On my blog I would like to discuss a few of them and give my whack and warped ideas. Of which most are probably wrong but nobody is making you agree. So I will start my first movie post with a discussion about Inglourious Basterds. Yes that is spelled incorrectly, Tarantino does that crap. I was not sure what to expect with this movie. As with most movies the previews looked so promising. But being a Quentin Tarantino film I was unsure what weird stunt he was gonna pull to make it a freak show. Although I thought he stayed on course pretty good, I'm still not sure how much I like the movie. I was led to believe that this was a movie about Amercian-Jewish soldiers hunting Nazi's. They only actual hunting part you saw in the previews. That I believe is one of the biggest strikes against it. The other being that it was surprisingly slow moving. Very dialogue dominated, which is not a bad thing, just not what was advertised. I'm also a little squimish with a lot of blood and didn't like the scalping and head bashing very much, but I knew that going in. My own fault there. It was also very hard to get to know any of the "basterds". They had next to no lines and were barely there before they died. The movie I felt was not actually about the "basterds" but about a revengeful young women who had her family murdered by the Nazi's.
Enough of the bad, the very surprising best part of the movie was the SS Col. Landa, who simply stole the show. This is the part of the movie I did like. The Colonel was brillant is being a monster who in the end sold out. You really didn't think that such a man would betray Germany but he did. And I stated earlier that Tarantino didn't do anything to crazy but I guess he did. Historical movies are good, but you always know how they turn out because it already happened. Tarantino said f*#k that and wrote his own ending. One that everyone wished would have happened, which is the death of Hitler and the Nazi leaders. Loved it. Pretty much everyone dies, but the Colonel does get appropriately carved upon at the end. Good ending. Alright movie. Not bad Tarantino. I gave it three stars cuz the way Hitler dies, he didn't get to go out the easy with himself pulling the trigger. But almost took all of them back with Mike Myers as a British Officer. Lame.
This is my first movie review and I understand its needs some work. They will get better.

Kids aren't dumb, they just don't think

My students will never cease to amaze me with their decision making process or their lack of any such process. Sunday night one of my students decided he didn't like stairs. They are to slow and need to be skipped. I really didn't feel to sorry for him, when he ended up at the bottom of the stairs in a pile, screaming that he hurt. His ankle swelled up like a grapefruit and we had to take him in for x-rays. Minor sprain. Almost wish the idiot had broken it, maybe he'd learn. Probably not though. They just don't think.
Monday I was greeted by a student who had attempted to play leap frog with a fellow classmate, on the sidewalk, on the cement. As you have probably already figured out, he didn't make it and did a very impressive face plant. Messed up his shoulder, his face, and chipped a tooth. His mother is gonna wonder what I did to him. I guess I was once a stupid kid too, so I can't be too hard on them, but.... leap frog on the cement, seriously?

Jay Cutler

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Your welcome Packer fans.

It was ugly, but still a W

My pick for the game: 20-17
Actual score: 12-7

That had to be one of the worst Bronco games I have ever seen. And somehow we still managed to win on a tipped pass caught by Brandon Stokely and run 87 yards for the game-winning touchdown. Craziness. Not sure we deserved to win, but neither did the Bengals. So might as well as been us.
I thought Caleb's quick hits was very good, although he rambled just like I said he does. But the best compliment is copying so here are my quick hits, also not very quick.

Yes- To Kyle Orton not turning the ball over. Yes you heard me right, he didn't turn it over once.

No- To Kyle Orton not being able to get the ball to our numerous play makers in places for them to make plays.

No- To Kyle Orton getting three passes batted down at the line cuz he locked in one reciever and never took his eyes off of him.

No- To Brandon Marshall looking like he hasn't played football in months. Wait, I don't think he has. Idiot.

No- To Eddie Royal running the ball out of the end zone and falling down at the 17 with time being a precious thing.

No- To the electric ( sometimes stupid) Eddie Royal only getting two catches.

Yes- To a defense that I thought would be terrible and yet played a very good game. Giving up to many yards, but holding the Bengals to only one score and big drive. Also sacking the quarterback and forcing turnovers. We didn't do that in 16 games last year.

Yes- To Tony Scheffler getting tired of Orton not getting him the ball and going on defense and getting a catch.

Yes/No- To Orton and Stokely not hooking up the 6 times they tried to, but finally hooking up when they weren't trying to.

Yes- To Brandon Stokely running along side the end zone to run time off the clock.

No- To Chad Johnson being a douchbag. Or is that a yes?

No- To retarded commentators. All Bronco and Packer games will be taken over in 2010 by Caleb (Cabe) Herwick and Daniel Force in the booth and Ryan (Rock) Christiansen on the sidelines.

Yes- To a Denver Bronco win.

Next week against the Browns I really hope we can get our offense on track. Moreno, Buckhalter, Marshall, Royal, Graham, Scheffler make a good mix of play makers and we just need Orton to get them the ball. Our defense looked liked they actually get paid and I hope we can continue to improve.
I think I wrapped this up a little quicker than my rambling counterpart, but I'm not as funny. Oh well. I do want to send a shout out to my buddy Rock. Johnny Jolly, who woulda thunk it.

Bradford, McCoy, or Tebow

One never knows how a season will play itself out. So talking about a next years top QB's for the draft might be a bit premature. But I have no confidence in either Orton or Simms as QB's of the future for the Broncos. So I will prematurely discuss it anyways. I must also add in another name to that list with Snead from Ole Miss. According to the draft board it goes Bradford, Snead, McCoy, and then Tebow in terms of NFL potential. I know next to nothing about Snead so we will throw him out of the discussion.

Bradford 2008 Stats: 4720 yards, 50 tds, 8 int, 67% comp., 180 passer rating
2008 Heisman Trophy Winner
Bradford is a very talented football player. He came into Oklahoma as a true freshman and played great. 36 tds as a freshman is very impressive. Then last year he went off for 50 tds and the lead one of the most prolific offenses college football has ever seen. Many people have questioned his toughness and I am one of those. Of course you say, cuz he just got hurt, but I did have that opinion before. Last year he dropped back for a pass some 550 times and was only touched 40 some times. Not sure on the exact numbers but those are close. That is unheard of in football and especially the NFL. The first game this season it was proved he is a bit fragile getting hit several times before landing awkwardly on his throwing shoulder. They don't know how long he will be out. He has great upside. Accurate, decently mobile, smart, and throws a beautiful ball. The biggest question is toughness and durability.

McCoy 2008 stats: 3859 yards, 34 tds, 8 ints, 76% comp., 173 passer rating
Rusing: 561 yards, 11 tds
2008 Heisman runner-up
McCoy is a scrapper. I really like this guy. Texas is a great program but has really struggled with a running game the last couple of years. McCoy led them is passing and rushing last year. He has been hit and delivered several hits of his one. He is completely fearless, and of the three the most is expected of him to carry his team. Bradford and Tebow have ridiculous talent around. McCoy does have Shipley, but that's about it for top tier talent that Tebow and Bradford have to work with. He is not as accurate as Bradford or as mobile as Tebow, but he brings a nice combination of both. I believe he will translate very nicely to playing on Sundays. (Although the numbers say he is more accurate, most agree that Bradford is the more consistent thrower).

Tebow 2008 stats: 2746 yards, 30 tds, 4 ints, 64% comp., 172 passer rating
Rushing: 673 yards, 12 tds( don't forget that he threw for 32 tds and ran for 23 in 2007)
2007 Heisman Trophy Winner
Tim Tebow might be a bit overrated, but I don't care. I love the guy. He is built like a fullback and his very shifty and mobile for his size. He is almost impossible for one player to bring down. He is a proven leader and one of the best locker rooms guys ever. I am not in love with his arm or accuracy. He does very well in an offense that hides some of his inefficiencies. He rarely just drops back in the pocket and throws the ball. Florida constently has him moving around, which he is very good at. Just don't know how that will translate to the pros. I just love the guy's character, leadership, and how he handles himself. And he is a heck of a football player.

So what does that all mean. It means that I like all of them, and if it means getting one of them in a Bronco uniform it might not be such a bad season of sucking. If I was to pick one right now, I would go with McCoy. I am sure I will go back and forth all year long. McCoy is just a winner with a lot of grit and pose. One thing about Bradford is that I can totally see him as a Tom Brady is Josh McDaniels offensive scheme. McCoy just has some of those intangables that I like. Tebow, although I really like him, doesn't really fit into what the Broncos are trying to develop. I could be wrong on all of this, probably am, but right now I am wanting the Broncos to draft Colt McCoy in next years draft. Although will we probably have given all our draft picks to the Patriots for some unknown reason.

250+

I have reached the 250 lbs plateau. This has to be one of the most embarrassing confessions of my life. Fluffy, chubby, more to love, or a few extra pounds just don't cut it any more. I have come to the realization that I am fat. Its amazing how one ends up here. I always looked at fat people with a little disdain and no understanding. Now I am one of them, along with half the world. I always assumed I would never be here or would work my butt off to never get here. But I am here and the most important thing is what I am going to do now. I have a few plans in mind, but I don't want to tip my hand yet. Each month I hope to update my blog on how this plan is going. My fatness has gone as far as it needs to go. It needs to stop and get its ass kicked. I am going to do this. I am going to beat this.

Dogs v. Cats

Its a discussion that will go on as long has there is a human race. Which is better dogs or cats? For most of my life I have been a dog person the whole way. As I have gotten older my stance on cats has softened a little. Having a cat that actually likes people and doesn't claw everything to shreds would be alright for me. That was until my sister got TWO cats. She already has a dog, who has got to be the most ballless dog I have ever encountered. He is very concerned about these creatures that have taken over his domain. Instead of letting them know who is boss, anytime he gets hissed at or clawed, he goes running to my sister. I still love him, but he really needs to grow a pair. Today was the first time I spent more than a few minutes with the little devil's. Yes they are cute, yes they cuddle, yes they purr like crazy, but they are also very annoying. I couldn't walk without stepping on one. They get into things they aren't suppose to. They can jump to just about anything. They fraid my basketball shorts, and they smell. To top it off the littlest one just hauled off and bit me. Poor thing landed a few feet away. Everytime I turned around my sister was having to spray one with water cuz it was doing something bad. Through the whole ordeal I decided they are more trouble than they are worth. I might think about it, if you give me one who is already trained. I know dogs are a terrible hassle too, but for some reason I can put up with them a whole lot better. A nice loving cat can be a great thing, but I am really a dog guy. RIP Yukon, love ya and miss you buddy.

I live in a fantasy world

Fantasy football has taken over my life. Yes, I know that is a very sad state to be in. It gets worse when I admit to being in six different leagues. Why you ask? Because they were all invites and I couldn't say no to my friends. Now half my week will be dedicated to setting my rosters for the next week. But it will be a nice distraction from the train wreck that is soon to the Denver Broncos. This evening I spent 2 hours drafting for one league. It has some 50 players in it. Craziness! One of my friends drafted several players that I wanted. He doesn't know a thing about football. What does this mean about my knowledge? Not good. Plus my computer was acting up, so it wasn't quite the draft I wanted but its all good. I got five other leagues to tear it up in. Pathetic. Add this to my to my Sundays and Monday nights watching football, to all the ESPN highlights and my life has become football. Scary, maybe I need to get a life. Probably could be spending some time exercising. Now there's a thought.

All you have to do is die

I know the title may sound a bit morbid, but I will explain if you stick with me. There has seem to be a rash of well known people dying in the last six months to a year. Some were quite hotly debated topics. Some were liked, some were hated. On most the media could never decide. But has soon as they died, the were the greatest person that ever lived. Didn't matter if they were a douche bag, jerk, child molester, or an a-hole. Death instantly made them a saint. I understand this might be a heartless and inappropriate post, but still deciding if I care. If your an a-hole in life your an a-hole in death. Tough luck. I personally think its a load of crap. And yes Michael Jackson, it is wrong to molest children and I hope you enjoy the heat.

And Then There Was 10

I am feeling a little insecure about my job at the moment. Only having ten boy's in your dorm can do that. Ten you say? Yes ten, and thats not just one floor. I have just ten in the whole bloody dorm. I wonder if that is a record, sure must be close. I also have a full time assistant this year. We have an amazing 1-5 ratio. What school can offer that? Boom. People have told me I must have it so easy. In some ways they are right, but no matter what the number your hours are still the same and your responsibilities don't change. Managing ten is always easier than 50, but lights out at 11:00 is still 11:00. And to my defense I do have one student that counts for five. He is a hyperactive, mood swinging, self-destructive maniac. Gotta love him. He manages to hurt himself or do something stupid at least once a day. He probably spends more time in my office getting in trouble than he does in his own room. But he has a big heart, and will hopefully grow up someday. The other nine range from quiet to loud, from big to small, from white to black. They are handling the fewer numbers well. They have a 2-1 ratio with the girls, so they are living large with that. It does make it hard to get enough to play sports. We almost couldn't get enough to play football the other night. Thought it might be the end of the world. And the poor guys really can't get away with skipping anything. Counting to 20 might be a bit hard for me, but I know I can get to 10.

So back to the original issue of feeling bad about the low number. God has something in store for us this year. I have no idea what it is, and hopefully I won't be so concerned with figures that I miss it. No matter the number these boys still need all the love and care I can give them. They are a great group and I know we can have an awesome year. Definitely gonna have to come back and read that last part at some point.

Terrell Owens Jr.

As much as it pains me, Brandon Marshall is turning into the next TO. Has all sorts of talent but has the ego and attitude to match. The Broncos just suspended him until the 5th of September. I believe this signals the fact that he will be traded. He already doesn't know the new playbook. He spends his time in practice trying not to practice, acting like he is a five year old throwing a temper tantrum. It is just a sad situation that I hope gets solved quickly for the sake of everyone involved. And the idea that we could swap him for Dwayne Bowe? Not to sure about that. But that might be all the Broncos can get for him. What a mess.

Game by Game

I know my faithful readers are dying to find out how many games I think the Broncos can win this year. With that in mind I am going to give a game by game prediction. Please hold your enthusiasm.

Game 1: @ Cincinnati
A healthy Carson Palmer could be trouble for the Broncos in their new defensive scheme. Add a speedy Lavernaus Coles to Chad Johnson ( I'm with you Caleb)and they could be tough to cover. But I am going to hope that Kyle Orton's first game ends something like Jake the Snake's first. Plummer's was also against Cincy. He threw 3 picks but the Broncos D and running game got them a win. I feel Orton turning it over is a forgone conclusion, but a win might not be out of the question.
Win: Broncos 20-17

Game 2: Cleveland
Here's to hoping that the Broncos can pick on first year starter Brady Quinn. That Braylon Edwards continues to drop everything thrown to him. That the Brown's defense is as bad as last year. All those together and I think we can win this one. Home opener too.
Win: Broncos 24-13

Game 3: @ Oakland
I for one want to see Jamarcus Russell start. Jeff Garcia simply wins. Jamarcus Russell can throw it a mile, but is inaccurate and immoble. Let's just hope we aren't dead last in run defense against Mcfadden and Fargas. Pound the football, and stay away from throwing to Asougma and we should be alright.
Win: Broncos 28-17

Game 4: Dallas
Now here comes the worst stretch. 7 of our next 8 games are against teams who made the playoffs last year. We could easily lose all 7 of those. I think Dallas will be better without the distraction of TO and put together a decent season. If Roy Williams steps up, they will be a contender. And they will beat the Broncos, home game or not.
Loss: Cowboys 31-14

Game 5: New England
I would so like to whip up on the Patriots for the beating we took at Foxboro on Monday night. I just don't see it happening. They return most their key players and add some dude named Brady. Here's to another spanking.
Loss: Patriots 34-17

Game 6: @ San Diego
For some reason San Diego is in our heads and owning us. 52 points we surrendered in the season finale might be a small indicator. Even if Tomlinson is down this year, Sproles is there to run around everybody. Merriman is back. Let's hope its quick and painless.
Loss: 41-21

Game 7: @ Baltimore
Our new offensive system against one of the best defenses of the decade. Let's just hope Flacco has the sophomore slump and we can keep it close. I still think the Broncos will drop this one on the road. At least if Marshall actually suits up for us, he might know the playbook by now.
Loss: Ravens 16-13

Game 8: Pittsburg
Defending champs. Be sweet to nock them off, but they can score and defend as well as anyone in the league. They lost almost no one and looked poised to go deep into the postseason again. The Broncos will just be a stepping stone along the way. At this point Orton will have as many turnovers as touchdowns. We will probably be through our 5th running back. On the bright side, Eddie Royal will be in the top 10 in catches, yards, and touchdowns at this point.
Loss: Steelers 31-10

Game 9: @ Washington
I really don't know where the Redskins will fit in this season. Haynesworth should help and Portis will get his yards. Campbell has the same offense for consecutive for the first time in his career. I really think the Broncos could win this, but I think I will give the slight edge to the home team. Running the ball will be tough. Orton can move the ball but can he do it without turnovers.
Loss: Redskins 17-14

Game 10: San Diego
I would like to think that we can win all division games at home, but as last years 31-14 drubbing at home to the Raiders says, we can't. Even with that being said, this is going to be my upset pick of the year. The bad blood between the Charges and Broncos has gotten worse each year. I think the Broncos will rise up after getting destroyed at San Diego earlier in the year. Tomlinson will be dinged up by now, and Philip Rivers will try to do to much. Broncos will pull out a thriller like week 2 of 2008.
Win: Broncos 37-34

Game 11: NY Giants
The G-Men have a very good pass rush. Orton has not done well with pressure. We might even have Simms in by now. Doesn't really matter, cuz both with face pressure all day. The key will be establishing a running game to keep them honest. Also cannot let Brandon Jacobs run over us, Ahmed Bradshaw around us, and Derrick Ward by us. If we do that we might have a shot. Not like Eli Manning will beat us or something. We might be doomed on this one. Hoping the home crowd will be a 12th man.
Loss: Giants 24-17

Game 12: @Kansas City
KC was one of the worst teams in the league last year, but that didn't stop us from loosing badly to them. They too are employing a new coach and a new system. The key to this matchup will be the team that has bought into their new system first. I think the Broncos have better players at more postitions but I will give this one to the Chiefs cuz they almost always play thier best game of the year at home against the Broncos.
Loss: Chiefs 28-24

Game 13: @Indianapolis
Many people are curious to see how the Colts adjust to a new coach and losing some key players. I think they will be fine as long as Peyton Manning and Bob Sanders stays healthy. Freeney and Mathis will apply the pressure from the ends all game. I do not believe this game will be close at all. I just hope we at least tackle everyone and not watch them walk into the end zone. Marvin Harrison is gone so we should be alright. I am also hoping that by this time Knowshown Moreno will be in the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation. I could be a dreamer but oh well.
Loss: Colts 34-14

Game 14: Oakland
We had better win at home against the Raiders. Enough said.
Win: Broncos 31-21

Game 15: @ Philadelphia
Unless Michael Vick screws up the team the Eagles should be positioning themselves for the postseason. This will be an important game at home against the Broncos. And although they might not be the best they have the two fastest recievers in the league with Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. Westbrook, Curtis, and McNabb make them potent offense for sure. Hopefully they will miss Dawkins and we can score some points on them.
Loss: Eagles 35-24

Game: Kansas City
It will be a long and tough season. But we will win the season finale at home against the Chiefs.
Win: Broncos 34-17

By the end of the year we will see some improvements that will get us excited about next year. Moreno will make people look foolish, Alponso Smith will actually grow taller than 5'9, Eddie Royal will make the pro bowl, Orton will throw more touchdowns than interceptions, somebody will actually sack the quarterback, Champ Bailey will get more than one interception, Brandon Marshall will get another 100 receptions, Broncos won't be last in run defense, and Josh McDaniels won't alienate any more players.

Final Record: 6-10

There you have it. Game by game rundown of the Dever Broncos season. Hope you made it through. If you agree or disagree let me know.

My Entourage

I know Entourage has almost turned into a cliche. Everyone has it, or their posse, their boy's, their homies. But I think mine is the greatest ever. And you might also complain that it only has three people in it. But its my entourage so I'll have whatever number I want. First there is Caleb. He is the one we pin our hopes on. The one we see greatness in. Mostly cuz Ryan and I are teachers and will never make any money, but whatever. Someday he will become a lawyer then a mediator and then somehow translate that all into millions. Then we will buy a sports team and prove we really do know what we are talking about when we say we could run that team better. He is the star.

Then there is Ryan. The loveable older guy with all the sage advice. Except I think he is full of crap most the time. I guess only when it comes to movies. He lived in California for four years and now thinks he is all enlighted or something. Poor guy. But he is a friend through thick and thin and is always there for you. And he lets me win in madden. I have know him the longest and is my dearest friend. And yes I said dearest, get over it. Plus we both survived Daystar. That practically makes us blood.

Then there is me. I think I love the afore mentioned so much cuz they somehow put up with me. I'm to competative, to whiny, and get upset far to easily. But they haven't kicked me outta bed yet, so I guess they like me or something. Must be my fluffy and sexy good looks.

Well there is my entourage, and yes we will eventually take over the world. Or a sports team, whatever comes first.

It's gonna be a long season

Now is not the time to be a Bronco fan. Maybe I am a little pessimistic, but I feel I have good reason. We have a new coaching staff, new offense, and a new defense. Our franchise quarterback is gone. Our best receiver wants out and is playing on the practice squad because he hasn't started reading the playbook. Our top draft pick is out with an injury. Our new coach looks lost, he just graduated from college so who can blame him. Our new quarterback threw three picks in his first appearance... in a preseason game. Then in the next game he thought he'd try out his left arm. WTF did he think would happen? On madden 10 our starting quarterback is ranked 74 and our back up 68. Pretty sure every team in the league has better third stringers. Madden knows all. The only record the Broncos will set this year will be how many running backs they start the season with.
I am probably to hard on them, but just trying to set myself up for when it gets ugly. There are some positives. Orton moves the ball well. Eddie Royal will be a beast. Jabar Gaffney will play a key role in our offense. Our 3-4 defense will be put more pressure on the oppenents quarterback. Alphonso Smith will live up to trading away a first round pick. Oh wait... that was on madden. Crap. Well I'd better not ramble to much. I just hope we can beat the crap out of Philip Rivers. And beat the Chiefs of course.

My Turn

So I am really not sure about this blogging thing. I have never felt I have had much to share. But ever since Caleb got his blog I keep telling him about all these things he should blog about. And I am pretty sure he has never once taken my ideas. But its his blog for his ideas not mine. And I found out Ryan has his own blog. If Ryan has a blog and is sharing his whack ideas with an unsuspecting world then I better get on this. So here is my blog and my first post. Remember, Caleb rambles on and Ryan is just out to lunch. So try my blog out.

ps. I think Caleb's stuff is good and as long as Ryan is writing about the environment he is funny. But don't tell them.
